Out of the Vault, The City of Kingston Art Collection is an exhibit that celebrates a wide array of nationally and locally significant artists from Alfred Pellan to A.Y. Jackson to Pudlo Pudlat. It also seeks to celebrate the success and impact of the former Art Collection Society of Kingston.
To continue in the Art Collection Society’s footsteps; this exhibition seeks to share and celebrate the artistic and cultural depth of a truly impressive Canadian Art collection with the community. The collection includes impressive Inuit stone cuts, avant-garde landscapes, and a reverential series of subtle graphite sketches by A.Y. Jackson that trace a magical journey throughout Canada. This exhibit will build awareness and excitement about Canadian Art and showcase a multitude of unique, innovative, artistic visions of Canada.
